day 2: a Sunday at Sydney cbd

Guys, we're at starbutts.

$10, or was it $12 salted caramel mocha frappucino grande. Yummy though.

It's a start to a 10-km walk, the calm before the storm. We're exploring the Sydney CBD today! Weather is sunny but windy.

Here, we're standing outside St Mary's Cathedral. The architecture is beautiful. Before getting here, we trekked through Hyde Park and sat a while on the cool dry grass, admiring the blue sky.
We visited the Art Gallery at the Domain. Very lovely. The gallery is beautiful inside and out! The building exudes a Greek style, while it has several rooms of a variety of art. Nice!
We hiked through the Royal Botanic Garden and finally reached the Sydney Opera House! Spot who's hiding. 🤦🏻‍♀️
super sunny day.. We're all dark in the pics 🤣.
just a nice pic. Lol.

Well, we walked 10km today. We were famished after burning I dunno how many hundreds of calories. And we ate at subway! Double down meal. 20 aud for 4 pax. Hahaha. Subway ftw! Note: parked at goulburn Street carpark. Weekend flat rate of $14.

chicken for a start

We were hungry upon landing.
SQ food was kinda disappointing. Treasure commented that she didn't remember the sia plane flight to be so squeezy and food so yucky.. For example, they offered continental breakfast.. Which was a cold muffin, a cold bun and I dunno wat.

It was a 6h45min flight. First meal upon landing: Karl's at Marrickville.
It was delicious and affordable. Adults loved the garlic sauce. Kids loved the French fries. And it was the start of the friendly aussie style. The staff at the restaurant were very hospitable.

As I said, we were hungry. Looks like Treasure was famished. 😅

A whale of fun at a tree of wheels. 🤣 How corny.

Sydney 2022: here we come!

19 Nov 2022: Yayyy the moment we've been waiting for. It's been 3 years since we took a plane and we're flying to Sydney! First time for all of us. Woohoo.

Our shot before entering the plane.

yayyy we're all so excited...

... And he's sleeping. It's a 7am flight. We woke up at 4am. And rushed to the airport.

Now let the holidays begin!! We have just landed.

One note : the passioncard was a life saver for us. This time, we brought our drivers license. But we didn't activate our credit cards! Thanks to the passion card that worked at the car rental company.. We could rent a car! Why is there always some obstacle to getting a car?!

running!

We have been running 2 to 3 times a week. It's not something we look forward to, but something good for us. It's nice to be able to do something together. It's also nice to feel that we are overcoming challenges together. Hopefully, we can sustain this habit.

Here are some selfies we took at breakfast, after a running session. Actually, mostly, they are Treasurer's selfies.

Decathlon

We always have lots of fun at Decathlon. There is ample space to roam, a huge range of products and amazing prices. This time, we visited the branch at The Centrepoint. We seldom hang out at the Orchard area, but we enjoy the food at the Takashimaya basement. I should do another post on that! For now, here are some snapshots from Orchard this weekend. Yeah, we're touring our own country!

Our first Christmas selfie. Lol.

I love the colours of the helmets! And yes, she's a confident model.
Yeah. Cos it was cold in Singapore. It really was.

Bell Rapids.

Mosman and Cottlesloe Beach

15 June in Perth. After we rented the car from Avis at the airport and toured Fremantle, we were treated to amazing views and creatures at Mosman Beach and Cottlesloe Beach.

We were in time to catch the sunset. :) No photo editing done!

The sea breeze was chilling to the bones, but the beauty of the beaches made it worth the pain.

Young man pointed out that the blue creature is the Portuguese man of War, whatever that is.
